December 2018: A good feeling to be doing something good

This year, instead of gifts, RCP Ranstadt GmbH has invested into our young generation and supported day care centre “Die kleinen Strolche e.V.”, that is “The Little Rascals” in Nidda-Wallernhausen with a donation to set up a new romping and cuddling area.

There, 20 children from baby age to school starting age are cared for by the educational staff and participants in the German voluntary social year programme.


November 2018: Family day at RCP Ranstadt

On 10th November 2018, RCP Ranstadt GmbH invited its staff and their families to a family day.

Needless to say, excellent food and drink was provided. But the highlight of the day was, of course, the guided tours through current production. These tours were a great experience, not just for family members but also for the staff of RCP.

It was seeing production through different eyes for once and this with explanations and personal comments by the Directors, Mr. Dille and Mr. Ulm.

The team leaders of production also took the opportunity to make the tours as vivid as possible. Naturally, there was a tour through the wet wipes division, but it was mainly in the section of powder/liquid production that the children gained a fantastic insight into the way all those numerous colourful bath pearls eventually get into those bags. At the end of the tours, everyone was allowed to weigh himself once again on the large scale in the warehouse.


September 2017: Company takeover by Zobel Values AG

We are pleased to inform you that our company was taken over by Zobel Values AG on 12.09.2017.

In the course of the takeover by Zobel Values, our former Managing Director, Mr. Karl Koob, has left our company. Mr. Koob has successfully developed the company over the past few years under the existing majority shareholder, Nimbus hands-on investors. We would like to thank Mr. Koob as well as Nimbus for the very good and trusting cooperation in recent years.

The new management has been extended by the position of Technical Director with the aim of promoting the company strategically, as well as expanding the Contract Manufacturing Division and offering our customers an even broader portfolio of production technologies and products.

On September 13, 2017, Mr. Michael Dille was designated by management as responsible for the Technical Department and Mr. Andreas Ulm for the Commercial Department. Mr. Dille had previously worked as Technical Director for our company. Since 2009 Mr. Ulm has been responsible for Sales & Marketing as well as Purchasing.

We are sure that we have found a strong partner with Zobel Values in order to be able to develop our company on a sustainable basis.


October 2016: As in previous years, RCP is also a sponsor this year for the Special Olympics Germany in Hesse.

To frankly say what one thinks and feels. To enjoy the moment. To let go and to enjoy the pleasure of unlimited joy.

With their enthusiasm and dedication for sport, the athletes are the best ambassadors on this score.

In addition to the sport itself, the SOD offers a complete range exhibiting everyday exercises.
The health program Healthy Athlete, the Family program, the Scientific Academy, Unified-Sports and volunteering enable a sense of achievement and participation possibilities for the individuals themselves and also provide socially impacting processes.

It is with pleasure that by our repeated sponsoring, we contribute towards the integration of mentally handicapped people.


September 2016: FSC Re-certification passed successfully

RCP GmbH (SCS Certification number: SCS-COC-03866 FSC – Licence number: FSC – C107660) has successfully passed the re-certification as assessed by Scientific Certification Systems Global Services in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council. Our current Certification may be viewed here.

This certificate affirms our commitment to the merits of responsible forest management. Our thanks to all our employees and suppliers who have given us their support.


July 2016 – RCP re-approved by the Association for the Promotion of Science and Education in Germany with the seal of approval “INNOVATIVE THROUGH RESEARCH”

Since 2014, the Association for the Promotion of Science and Education in Germany has recognized researching enterprises for their specific responsibility towards state and community with their seal of approval – “Innovative through Research”.

The Association for the Promotion of Science and Education is one of the largest private science sponsors in Germany. Alongside its dedication to young academics, excellent graduate schools and acute research, one of its challenges is to annually examine and evaluate the German Research and Innovation Systems by order of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.


This year, RCP was re-approved by the Association for the Promotion of Science and Education for its research and development work in the fields of production technology and packaging solutions with the noted seal of approval – “Innovative through Research”. The central objective of our extensive efforts is: that the manufactured goods for our customers are produced as environmentally sustainable and with least waste of resources as possible.

April 2016: Re-certification passed successfully!

In order to comply with the ever-expanding demands of our customers and to live up to our own standards of continuous improvement, we recently underwent several Quality audits. We successfully passed the following re-certifications in the past months.

IFS HPC: is a Standard which verifies the safety and quality of household and personal care products.

ISO 9001: 2008 determines the requirements of a Quality Management System which are to be implemented by a company in order to comply with customer specifications and also to fulfill further requirements of the product and provision of service respectively. A fundamental principle of the ISO 9001 is process orientation. We are currently working on the implementation of the new Norm ISO 9001:2015.

A.I.S.E.: There are four criteria of significance: Environmental safety of content substances, efficiency of resources in respect of dosage amounts and packaging material, wash performance at low temperatures and consumer information. Only products which comply with all the defined stipulations, are entitled since July 2011, to provide the consumer with this information via a new A.I.S.E. Charter Logo on the packaging.

August 2015: RCP is also a sponsor this year for the Special Olympics Germany in Hessen

As we did last year, RCP would also like to make a small contribution in 2015 to the integration of mentally handicapped people by providing a sponsoring in the Special Olympics.


The Special Olympics International is worldwide the largest – from IOC officially recognised – sports initiative for people with mental and multiple handicaps. It was founded in 1968 in the USA by the Kennedy family.

It is the mission of the Special Olympics Germany in Hessen e.V. to give people with mental handicaps the opportunity to compete in a multitude of Olympic sport types by offering them year-long, regular sports training. This enables them to develop their physical fitness, prove their courage, experience gratification and in doing so, to share their talents, abilities and friendships with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and their companions.


May 2015: Ms. Simone Klasterka, Head of Human Resources at RCP Ranstadt GmbH is appointed honorary magistrate at the Social Court in Gießen

Ms. Simone Klasterka will represent the regional association of employers as an honorary magistrate at the Social Court in Gießen.

The nomination to honorary magistrate for the period of five years took place on the seventh of May 2015. The nomination was effected by the Hessian Minister of State Mrs. Eva Kühne-Hörmann.

The acceptance of this honorary office by Ms. Klasterka shows the willingness by the regional association of employers to support the court’s decision-making with social consciousness and to provide a vital jurisdiction with high quality assurance through external participation.


April 2015: A.I.S.E. – Certification successfully passed!

We as manufacturers have a responsibility towards our planet as well as to the human beings using our products. We want to ensure that during the whole manufacturing process, the impacts on our environment are reduced and also to facilitate, that as few as possible adverse effects are generated. This claim is supported by our A.I.S.E certification.

A.I.S.E., the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products, is the official voice representing the Wash, Detergent and Maintenance Products Industry in Europe. The A.I.S.E. represents 37 national organizations from 42 countries and approx. 900 companies. In Germany the membership organizations of the A.I.S.E are: the Industrieverband Körperpflege- und Waschmittel e.V. (IKW, www.ikw.org) and the Industrieverband Hygiene und Oberflächenschutz für industrielle und institutionelle Anwendung e. V. (IHO, www.iho.de).


This seal on a product proves, that the product has been manufactured by a member of the initiative: a company which has voluntarily obligated itself to continuously improving its performance in view of ecological sustainability and which is independently audited.

When you see this product-related seal on a product, it means that the product has been manufactured by a member of the initiative and exceeds the regulatory requirements in accordance with the best skills in the industry. These products comply with high sustainability standards and thus help to preserve the environment and to promote the efficient use of resources, e.g. by the promotion of compact products. They fulfil aspiring criterion voluntarily issued by the International Association for Soaps, Detergents and Maintenance Products. Furthermore the product labels on these products must display easily understood consumer information as to sustainable use.

February 2015: Full single power of attorney has been vested in both Messrs Ulm and Geiß

With the introduction of our new “Senior Management” platform, RCP Ranstadt GmbH has extended the scope of responsibility for Mr Andreas Ulm (Head of Sales and Marketing) and Mr Thomas Geiß (Head of Finance and Controlling).

Full single power of attorney has been vested in both Messrs Ulm and Geiß with effect as of 11.02.15.


July 2014: RCP is commended by the “Stifterverband” (Association for the Promotion of Science and Education in Germany) with the seal of approval “INNOVATIVE THROUGH RESEARCH”.

There are 3.5 million corporations in Germany but only less than 1 % of them carry out research. This is an extremely significant group since only those who research can discover new things and also accomplish innovation and growth.

RCP belongs to these researching corporations. Their diverse research and development efforts have already been implemented into innovations within the fields of production technology and packaging solutions through annually increasing budgets. A primary concern here amongst others, is the sustainability of the corporation itself as well as the raw and packaging materials applied.


This corporate undertaking by RCP has just been honoured by the “Stifterverband” (Association for the Promotion of Science and Education in Germany) with the seal of approval “INNOVATIVE THROUGH RESEARCH”.

The “Stifterverband” is one of the largest private business sponsors in Germany. Besides numerous other assignments, it also examines and evalutes the German Research and Innovation Systems within the framework of an annual science-stastic by order of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research.

June 2014 : RCP exhibits at the “Cosmetic Business” in Munich

The trade fair Cosmetic Business in Munich opened its doors again for the tenth time on the 5th and 6th of June 2014 to all trade fair visitors.

We too, were also represented on these dates by our sales team at a stand in the immediate foyer area. From here we were able to present our considerable range of sachets, stand-up pouches and wet wipes to visitors both from home and abroad. We were thrilled that our stand was so well frequented and of course pleased with the numerous interesting conversations held alongside ice cold fruit cocktails.


On this note, we would like to sincerely thank all our clients and prospective clients once again for their visit to our trade fair stand and hasten to add that it would give us great pleasure to be able to welcome you again next year in Munich.

April 2014: Introduction of "Integrated Resource Planning" Organisation

Permanent product availability within the market place is an important factor in the competition stakes and thus raises a challenge to our organisation.

Besides market supply; inventory and operating distances, optimal degree of capacity utilisation, transparent views of the order progress and the smooth flow of materials all play an increasingly greater role in the efficient and thus competitive supply chain of our company.

In order to realign our organisation with current demands and future challenges, we shall merge the areas of Supply Chain, Launch Re-launch Management and Logistics into one single organisational unit with its own manager responsible.

By ensuring a well-organised tender phase, the foundations are thus laid for smooth, efficient on-time scheduled processes for our customers. The new organisation will reduce interfaces between quotes, purchasing, production and logistics.

Mr. Nünning, who has for many years been dealing with the subject of a frictionless supply chain, will as from April 14th, undertake the demanding assignment of Integrated Resource Planning Manager within our company.


March 2014: Investment in an infrared spectrometer FTIR ( Fourier–Transform-Infrared Spectrometer) for the analysis of composite film.

Within the framework of our Continuous Improvement Strategy, this investment enables us to take a further step in the procedures and techniques of quality management.

The FTIR makes it possible for us to examine the composition of the composite films being processed by us and also to test the laminate mediums and the utilised varnishes according to their specifications.

Over the course of the last months, we have also been in discussion with our suppliers in order to stipulate more explicitly the specifications of our core products as was hitherto the case.

Up until now the bonding layers were defined by their material designations and the thickness of the layers. Now we are able to specify in addition to the forementioned, the exact composition and the quality of the single compounds in detail.


We now have the ability to rapidly make a genuine declaration concerning the composition of the supplied materials.

Conclusively, it is possible for us to place at your disposal the foil quality which is optimally suited to your product. With pleasure we would also like to offer our services in thoroughly analysing your hitherto existing material specifications and to specify these for your named supplier of choice.


January, 2014: Implementation of a new ERP System

The year 2014 has also begun for us with a brand new challenge.

Within the framework of our company's reorganisation of both our Business Units, Contract Manufacturing and Own Brands, we have taken a further important step upon the route of continuous improvement.

On 06.01.14 we converted to a modern ERP System which is optimally tailored to fit your and thus our requirements. This permits an optimisation of our business processes in virtually all company departments, above all in production, quality assurance and within the supply chain. Thus we are now in the position to be able to offer you an even better service as heretofore.

The conversion from our previous to the new system was effected quite smoothly. This means that from the very first day of introduction, all business processes have been running via the new system and that you are especially guaranteed a stable production process and dispatch of your goods.

For you there are hardly any changes, merely our documentation has changed slightly. Should there be any further changes ensuing for you, our contact person within the company will be in touch with you shortly.

We are certain that, with the implementation of our new ERP System, we have taken a crucial step towards the optimisation of our business processes and will hereby be able to meet your future demands more effectively and efficiently.


December 2013: Appointment of Mr Karl Koob, Managing Partner of RCP Ranstadt Gmbh to the German Economic Senate

Mr Karl Koob is acting senator of RCP Ranstadt GmbH in the German Economic Senate.

The certificate of appointment was awarded on 22.11.13 during the annual Senate convention in the Bavarian state parliament in Munich by the chairman of the German Economic Senate, honorary consul general Dieter Härthe, the hitherto existing chairman of the financial committee in the German Federal Parliament, Dr. Volker Wissing, and the Director of the Hamburg World Business Institute (HWWI), Prof. Dr. Thomas Straubhaar.

The Economic Senate is composed of members from the walks of commerce, sciences and society who are highly conscious of their public and social responsibilities. They are mutually conducive to common welfare orientated objectives as regards the implementation of sustaining an eco-social market economy.

The Economic Senate thus allows the revitalization of the traditional trains of thought of the classical senates of the ancient world. A balanced circle of friends consisting of independent spirits pursues the object of common welfare as opposed to individual minority interests.

The Economic Senate is purely common welfare orientated and in constant dialogue with representatives from politics and science. Our honorary senators Hans-Dietrich Genscher, Prof. Günther Verheugen, Prof. Klaus Töpfer, Rosi Gollmann and our active counsellor Prof. Roman Herzog are amongst many further experts fascinating sources of inspiration.

The basic principles of the Senate can also be used as foundations and guidelines for the commercial operations of senate members. Fairness and partnership in commerce, as well as the social competence of corporations and their senior management shapes the work of the senate.


June 2013: RCP at the “Cosmetic Business” fair in Munich

On 14.06.2013, two very successful trade fair days at “Cosmetic Business” in Munich came to an end.

With their new image, RCP gained a lot of respect and consistent positive feedback from our customers / suppliers and also our competitors.

We distributed many RCP bags containing our product samples and brochures, and our new cocktail bar was also very popular.

January 2013: Approach in 2012, in terms of quality and delivery service, was successful

The introduction of our two business units at the end of 2011 (see related article below from November 2011: Appointment of Mr. Koob as Managing Director of RCP Ranstadt GmbH) enabled us to sustainably improve both our quality and our delivery service last year. This is confirmed by our customers in their current supplier evaluations for 2012, amongst other things. For example, we just received an evaluation from the company, Toepfer GmbH, which awards us a delivery rate of 100% in 2012, hereby ranking us as a category A supplier.

We thank our customers for their confidence in us and the consistently positive reviews, which we see as confirmation of our work over the past twelve months, as well as an incentive to optimise our quality and our delivery service even further.

February 2012: RCP majority shareholder, Nimbus hands-on investors releases new fund

With effect from 01.02.2012, the majority shareholder of the RCP Ranstadt GmbH, the company Nimbus hands-on investors, has released a new fund of EUR 50 million.

At the start of 2009, Nimbus hands-on investors released its first fund of EUR 40 million, which is now fully invested.

Nimbus hands-on investors has been active in Germany since 1999, and worked for the first 10 years without a fund.

November 2011: Appointment of Mr Karl Koob as Managing Director of RCP Ranstadt GmbH  

With effect as from 30.11.2011, Karl Koob took over the management of RCP Ranstadt GmbH. The former managing director, Mr. Rüdiger Lindner resigned from the company on the same date.

Mr. Koob has many years of experience in the areas of co-packing for personal care and home care products, and also in the private label market.

This change in management decisively enforced the organisational separation of the two business divisions, Copacking and Single Wipes into into two specialised business units.

Mr Karl Koob: „For many years, RCP Ranstadt GmbH has been a market leader as a co-packer for personal care and home care products. In recent years, we have evolved in the single wipes segment from a pure co-packer to a manufacturer of our own products in the private label segment. Significantly different requirements in these two areas necessitate the strategic realignment of our company. In order to provide our customers with the best service and products of the highest quality, and also to ensure our growth, the organisational separation of our two divisions, ´Copacking and Single Wipes is essential. We have undertaken this through the introduction of two specialised business units, Copacking and Single Wipes, which were previously managed under one roof, and synergies continue to be used."

Andreas Ulm, Sales Manager of RCP Ranstadt GmbH also became an authorised signatory of the company, with effect from 30.11.2011.
